Ballo-Toure prepares for first appearance since November – his stats

By Isak Möller -

Fode Ballo-Toure will play from the first minute against Udinese tonight as Theo Hernandez has been ruled out due to the flu. It’s not an ideal situation for Milan, but the Senegalese international will be eager to prove himself.

Reports of Hernandez’s possible absence started late last night and the confirmation arrived this morning. The Frenchman is struggling with the flu and that means he won’t be able to take the pitch tonight.

Ballo-Toure will replace him and it will be the former Monaco man’s first appearance since November, when he played in the 0-0 draw against Cremonese (a game he played from start). Since then, he hasn’t even made a cameo off the bench.

He has made seven appearances (327 minutes) across all competitions for Milan this season and he also has a goal to his name – the winner against Empoli. With Ballo-Toure from start, 9 occasions in total, Milan have lost three games (Napoli, Chelsea, Porto).

However, it’s clear that there’s a big difference between him and Theo, but against Udinese it might not matter.
