GdS: Milan player ratings for Juventus win – Giroud takes headlines; defence stands firm

It was a far from vintage performance from AC Milan but they got the job done at the Allianz Stadium last night, beating Juventus 1-0 to seal a top four spot.

This morning’s edition of La Gazzetta dello Sport (as seen below) has their ratings from the game, starting with the overall team performance which earned a 6.5 out of 10, while head coach Stefano Pioli got a 7 for his management of the game.

The man of the match was the difference maker Olivier Giroud as he earned a score of 7, while the most disappointing player for the Rossoneri was Rafael Leao, who got only a 5.5.

Mike Maignan made a couple of smart stops on a quiet night and got a 6.5, as did centre-back Fikayo Tomori. Davide Calabria received a rating of 7, with Fikayo Tomori and Theo Hernandez each getting a 6.

Rade Krunic was guilty of over-confidence on a couple of occasions which could have proven costly so he was awarded a 5.5, while Sandro Tonali, Junior Messias and Brahim Diaz got a 6, as did substitute Alexis Saelemaekers.
