Another source is reporting that AC Milan are interested in signing Lazar Samardzic from Udinese in the upcoming summer transfer window.
According to what is being reported by Calciomercato.it, there were a number of players who caught the eye in Udinese’s 3-1 win over Milan just before the international break such as Beto, but it was Lazar Samardzic that the Rossoneri management really like.
The Serbian attacking midfielder has been playing slightly deeper this season and has already amassed four goals and three assists in 26 Serie A matches. Against Milan he stood out above all for his involvement in their opening goal.
The Rossoneri have been following him for some time and Paolo Maldini tried to bring him to Italy before Udinese did, but without success. The management believe the 21-year-old has all the physical and technical qualities to do well at a big club, but given he is under contract until 2026 it would take an offer of €25-30m for them to consider a sale.
At that price Udinese could start to think about a negotiation but there is the serious possibility that a real auction will take place in the summer with Napoli and Juventus also keen, while the De Paul or Udogie cases show the Friulians don’t mid selling abroad.
