Tuttosport: Milan-Udinese contains a Portuguese sub-plot as two forwards do battle

By Oliver Fisher -

There are a few interesting sub-plots to AC Milan’s game against Udinese tonight and one of them involved two compatriots, a report has highlighted.

Among the interesting storylines is the fact that Gerard Deulofeu will return to San Siro after declaring his love for Milan again, while Rodrigo Becão has scored two goals in his Serie A career – both against Milan – and Ante Rebic also has history against Udinese too.

Tuttosport (via MilanNews) have picked out the battle between two forwards with the headline: ‘Leao has blossomed, Beto is already decisive: Portuguese derby.

The paper highlights how Leao has reached double figures in goals scored for the first time in his career in a single season and did so thanks to a goal against Sampdoria earlier in the month in his 100th appearance for the club.

Meanwhile, Beto scored Udinese’s goal in the reverse fixture earlier in the season earning him some links with a potential move to Milan, and he is on 8 league goals in 22 appearances so far this term.
