GdS: Pioli planning return to back four vs. Napoli to get the best out of Leao

By Oliver Fisher -

The AC Milan squad will resume training at Milanello this afternoon and Stefano Pioli has the tough task of preparing the team for a daunting trip to Napoli on Sunday.

Milan thought they had got over their January hump with a streak of wins and clean sheets in February, but they went winless throughout the entire month of March and are now letting in goals again while struggling to score at the other end.

As La Gazzetta dello Sport (via MilanNews) reports, Pioli will be able to start preparing for Sunday’s match against Napoli during today’s session, at least with those players who have not been called up for international duty.

For the trip south it is expected that the coach will abandon the 3-4-2-1 formation he has used in recent weeks and return to a back four. With this change in system, Rafael Leao will return to being wide on the left, that is, in the position in which he can do the most damage.
