Journalist adds fuel to Lukaku rumours by claiming Milan are interested

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan are exploring the idea of signing Romelu Lukaku from Chelsea in the final few days of the window, according to one journalist.

Carlo Pellegatti was the first to report that the ‘crazy idea’ of Lukaku turning his back on the Nerazzurri and Bianconeri to move to Milan is something that could be achievable given the relations between Gerry Cardinale and Todd Boehly.

Then, Florian Holsbeek stated that negotiations are ‘in progress’ between Lukaku and Milan, but there are still some things that must be unblocked for it to become a realistic possibility such as formula and salary.

The rumours just will not go away despite the fact that Lukaku seems to go against the grain when it comes to the kind of player Milan have been looking to recruit all summer.

According to what journalist Giovanni Albanese has told Juventibus, Milan are indeed looking at Lukaku as well and could offer him the chance to secure the Italy return he seemingly wants.

  1. Not a chance.

Lukaku has painted himself into a corner and his agent/his contacts just need to keep the rumors going to try and manufacture a solution (not Milan) that currently doesn’t exist.

Nothing more to it than that IMO.

  2. Apart from to spite inter which would be a wonderful bonus, I think Lukaku would be a wonderful addition, he’s a powerful striker & with the team that we currently have, adding him will make this team very formidable..I don’t care about his loyalty, hes a good striker & we need a very good & powerful striker to challenge Giroud.. Hakan is at Inter and he’s doing well so Milan fans better put their emotions aside & focus on the quality that he could bring to this team!

    1. That’s a cute speech.
One problem tho. 20M groos salary.. Is suppressing feelings gonna make that sum drop to a manageable number?
Not to mention he is only gonna get worse, boy is past his peak

  3. Unless Romano has said anything regarding this I wouldn’t believe it. And Romano has been spot on lately about many things, including Pellegrino who is about to sign his contract.

I’m really split on this. If he comes, I’ll back him. Still attitude is a huge a question mark and so are wages. We’ll see.

  4. Please don’t do this. I will not support this clown. Milan supporters should make it known at the match this weekend that we do not want this guy wearing the shirt.

  5. We need King Luka. Just imagine having him with SCE, Pulisic, Leao, Giroud, Okafor etc. We have won the league yesterday already with our signings but lets make two more additions to bolster the squad in European top game competition
