CM: Milan and Inter also set for transfer battle – two Italian talents in their sights

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan and Inter will fight for a place in the Champions League final over the next week while they are also battling over two of the same summer targets.

As Calciomercato.com report, both clubs are in the market for a new striker ahead of next season and Mateo Retegui is on their list. He continues to score goals in Argentina with the clear aim of securing a move to play in Europe.

Retegui is ready to leave Tigre during the summer and a switch to Serie A is his priority, with Inter gaining pole position over Milan for the time being in a potential deal worth around €20m.

Another name both teams like is that of Empoli attacking midfielder Tommaso Baldanzi. Initially linked with Inter some weeks ago, Milan are now carefully evaluating his profile.

The 20-year-old could become a credible alternative to Brahim Díaz but the Nerazzurri could also relaunch their interest, so the derby that could last much longer than the 180 minutes on the pitch.

    1. Matthias Almada and Openda are better options but it would be wise for Milan to still get Baldanzi regardless if Diaz leave.

Let Baldanzi stay on loan at Empoli for another year.

  1. Elye Wahi and baldanzi are the two player who should sign without a single thought. First as a ST and second as a backup CAM.

As for Retegui. NO. let Shinter take him.
