Di Marzio says Milan and AS Roma are ‘in pole position’ to sign Premier League winger

By Euan Burns -

Transfer journalist Gianluca Di Marzio has suggested that both AC Milan and AS Roma are hot on the tail of Wolves winger Adama Traore who is looking for a way out of the club.

Speaking whilst on Sky Sport’s Calciomaercato-L’Originale program (via Milan News), he explained that football agent Jorge Mendes has been proposing Traore to lots of different clubs.

In particular, he has been focusing on Italian teams as there is a known interest in wingers from a few Serie A clubs. It seems that Milan and Roma are the two teams that are most interested and have the best chance to secure the deal if they want to.

“He has been proposed by Jorge Mendes to many Italian teams, Milan and Roma in pole position. The Rossoneri are evaluating and trying to understand whether to close this operation and define it. Roma are also interested,” Di Marzio said.

Right now, Milan seem much more focused on signing Christian Pulisic for the wing rather than Traore. Samuel Chukwueze from Villarreal is also a very credible target, so Traore could be viewed by the Rossoneri as more of a backup target.

  1. He feels more like a Roma player. He would look good in their shirts. Not in ours. Hope he doesn’t come here. (Not, because of the shirts, just because he isn’t very good…)

  2. Pulisic is not a natrual RW. I don’t get why we keep pursuing him. Traore is more of a winger than the American.

    1. because our owners are american and they think signing americans is going to increase american viewership. its all business, nothing else. club is becoming disgusting. please leave asap redturd so I can bleed with this club again rather than watching on in disgust
