Inter and Milan are set to find themselves battling for the signature of Bologna striker Joshua Zirkzee over the course of the summer transfer window.
According to the morning’s edition of La Gazzetta dello Sport (as seen below), there will be a ‘derby for another star’ in the shape of a talented Dutch forward.
It is fair to say that Inter are the more confident side in every way right now given they just sealed the Serie A title against Milan at San Siro, which sealed a second star that Milan are yet to achieve themselves.
Milan could have the upper hand when it comes to Zirkzee though, given Olivier Giroud will be leaving and there is a clear starting spot in the team. With Marcus Thuram and Lautaro Martinez, the same cannot be said for Inter.
Bologna want around €60m for Zirkzee but the fact that Alexis Saelemaekers is currently playing well on loan at the Rossblu should work in Milan’s favour, as he can become a part of the negotiation.
Saelemaekers is valued at around €10m which helps to make things easier for Milan, and there is a contract ready for Zirkzee that would see him earn €4m per season.
Has anyone saw what Scamaca did yesterday ? Maybe we should consider him too.
Scamacca has been playing with chips in his shoulder since he got rejected by Spaletti and harsh comments from Gasp lol.
He’s my personal pick too, especially now that he’s a little bit more experienced now.
Scamacca is my personal pick and if he’s open for a move, could be best and cheaper option considering we have a bargain chip CdK there.
My 1st choice as well but… The management has this dream of zero-italian Milan and buying Scamacca would ruin the plan.
Is it too greedy to want both Zirkzee and Scamacca and ship Jovic back to viola? That would give us two really good centerforwards. If we are to compete in both the league and CL that is needed.
On the wings we have Leao/Okafor and Pulisic/Chuckwueze so that is solid.
Scamacca/Zirkzee, a left back, a centerback and a defensive midfielder. 5 signings that would give the squad much better depth.
Jovic, Giroud, Kjaer, Mirante leaving with expiring contracts? And then one midfielder to be sold (probably Bennacer for the cash to fund signings).

That would be nice. But I’ve seen nothing from Cardinale to make me think this is possible.
I think both of them want to be starters so it would be hard to sign both. Inter may sell Lautaro so if they have interest in Zirkee we all know how it’s going to end. We should focus on Scamacca, maybe Retegui would be ok to come as well.
I’m sure Inter come in for the same players, purely to p@ss everyone off..
As it happened with Thuram, Im calling it now- if he continues in Italy he ll sign for Inter, not us.
Thuram had a deal with inter so he never would’ve singed for us… People need to move on

Inter have to pay back €275 million on May the 20th so I’m not sure where you’re getting the idea they’re in the market for expensive players from. They’re broke. They have to pay for Frattesi before they can even think about more signings and where do you think Zirkzee is going to play? They already have Lautaro. A totally nonsense rumour.
