Monza manager praises Milan loanee Maldini: “He has it in his DNA”

By Isak Möller -

Daniel Maldini was the big hero for Monza earlier today as he scored the only goal of the game with a nice free-kick. After the game, manager Raffaele Palladino had only good things to say about the AC Milan loanee.

Maldini has scored three goals in five games since joining Monza in January, cutting his loan spell at Empoli short. Today’s goal was an absolute beauty, and the Rossoneri are certainly watching on with a great smile on their faces.

After the game, as cited by MilanNews24, the Monza manager Raffaele Palladino shared his thoughts on the importance of Maldini recently. He also revealed that the youngster hadn’t been practising on any free-kicks during the week.

“Maldini has talent, he has it in his DNA. Up until the goal, it wasn’t a good game for him and he knows it. But his shot from the free-kick was great quality. I can say that I have tried to give him trust and daily dialogue.

“He trains with intensity, he has great talent. His surname was heavy in the media but I gave him lightness from this point of view. He works a lot during the week, I demand a lot for two hours a day, pace and intensity. In Serie A, to cope with the big teams you have to be physically fit,” he stated.

It remains to be seen what will happen in the summer, as a lot will depend on the head coach position at Milan, but Maldini will have a good chance if he were to continue like this. After all, the Rossoneri could use another No.10 to alternate with Ruben Loftus-Cheek.

  1. Hes already have his talent but the american burger and pioli not trust him. Will you show your talent if you play on the pitch for only last 5 minutes?? Haha…

    1. His father was literally in charge of the sporting department for the last 4 years, but it’s the “American burger” that didn’t trust him. Haha…
If you wanna blame anyone, why Daniel at 23 barely has 23 games played in serie A you should look into his father’s choices and Pioli. Ownership has nothing to do with it.
Instead of sending him on loan when he was 18, his father kept him at Milan, where he sat on the bench, wasting years and stagnating his career.
Also, a Milan loanee scores a rare goal, and right away, people are calling for that player to be brought back. The same was happening with Colombo at the beginning of the season, and now Colombo can’t even crack the starting lineup of Monza. Many games he is unused sub.

  2. Some people continue to show xenophobia towards Milan owners and other American owners in serie A, while the homegrown owners are nowhere to be found, besides just criticizing and hating in the media.
Italy is about to get a 5th spot in the UCL and that’s all because of the success by the teams owned by Americans.
Roma won the conference league – American owners.
Milan, Roma and Fiorentina played in the semi-final of European competitions last season, with Roma and Fiorentina playing in the finals. American owners.
The only serie A teams left in the European competitions this season are Milan, Roma, Atalanta, Fiorentina. Guess who are they owned by? Yep, Americans.
But according to some xenophobs they don’t know anything about running football clubs.
    But keep up the hate.
