Devis Vasquez has agreed to join Serie B side Ascoli for the remainder of the season, thus ending his loan spell at Sheffield Wednesday in the Championship. This was announced by AC Milan earlier in the evening.
Vasquez joined Milan one year ago from the Paraguayan side Guarani. He didn’t get any playing time in his first six months with the Rossoneri and was thus sent out on loan to Sheffield Wednesday for the current season. However, due to a lack of playing, the loan was terminated yesterday.
On their official website, Milan have confirmed the termination of the loan, also announcing that the 25-year-old will join Serie B side Ascoli on loan instead. The new deal will last until the end of the season, with Vasquez hoping to regain some form.
“AC Milan can confirm that an agreement has been reached with Sheffield Wednesday FC to end Devis Vásquez’s loan early. The player will now join Ascoli Calcio 1898 FC on loan until 30 June 2024.
“The Club would like to wish Devis all the best for the remainder of the season,” it read.
It is likely that the Colombian goalkeeper will leave Milan on a permanent basis in the summer. However, having played so little this season, there are few admirers and the Rossoneri are hoping that the situation will be different in six months.
This kind of purchase must be based on CM/FM game
Just like vitaly kutuzov
Could they not just have given me the money instead of buying this guy?
And you would have bought De Sciglio and given a 5 year contract extension to Krunic.
No for myself. To keep.
I wouldn’t have bought anyone.
My point is the whole thing was a waste of money (as well as time, resources, and a demotivation for primavera players).
There were only downsides to this transfer.
“There were only downsides to this transfer.”
They got to keep the two non-EU -signings for the next transfer window.
Cheapest, most effective way to keep the non-EU spot bro.
