It seems as though Daichi Kamada will be left waiting for a move to AC Milan that will never materialise as the club no longer want to close the deal.
According to a report from Sky, the priorities for Milan at the moment are fixing the midfield after Sandro Tonali’s exit and strengthening the right wing position, but they only have one non-EU slot left to do that.
Samuel Chukwueze of Villarreal is the number one target at the moment, and if he were to arrive than the would be both of the non-EU signings used up, given that is the limit Serie A clubs are allowed in the same window.
It means that the signing of Kamada would be effectively ruled out entirely, but another factor has emerged. The former Eintracht Frankfurt playmaker is no longer a priority because Chukwueze is considered more suitable tactically.
The Sky report mentions that the Nigerian winger seems to be a better fit for the formation Stefano Pioli will use, perhaps hinting he will move to a 4-3-3 without a playmaker and with a greater emphasis on the wide areas.
He’s no stranger in playing CM. Just saying.
Stranger? CM? He’s playing on CAM position and he would be 100% first team player. But they want player like pulisic and RLC and Adama Traore that doesn’t score good job stupid Americans
RLC is great at progressive carries which are a key part of Pioli´s football. I don’t fancy Adama Traore but RLC makes sense profile wise.
Pulisic is somewhere in the middle, he looks like a player that would do much better in Serie A, if the rumors of his fee being quite low are true he would be worth a try.
Totally agree. I think any CAM worthy of playing at this level can play in a more central position.
Also, we need to have a variety of player profiles so we can adapt to different opponents. The non-EU limitations are an issue… but we’ll have to see.
For what it’s worth I’m not at all convinced we are changing formations. RBL and Musah both play best in a pivot role on the right. I don’t see at all who is good enough to be a single pivot at the back…

Kamada is the paradox, all we read is that the Milan management refuse to spend money or how the transfer budget has been curtailed…
But here we have a free transfer and a decent versitile footballer but he is not priority but Rijanders and Musah are even though they aggregate vales is €45-50M….

This is just pure speculation. It does not imply any formation change. If anything, Kamada offers much more tactical flexibility than Chukky. Buying Chukky thus points to preserving the 4-2-3-1 if you ask me.

How much are they going to spend on Chukwueze ? 16 + 5 already left on Loftus. So there is no much space for arrivals. If you compare statistically he is not bigger scorer than Brahim Diaz were last year….
It will be risky move to spend 30 to 40 million on single player.
Than still, there is no deputy to Olivier, and it will not be cheap.

If we are going to play 433 I’ll consider keep Adli, cause he is a natural pivot, he played in Bordeaux in that position, but we need to see if f**k Pioli allows him to play

This is weird. Does anyone know how Pioli played his previous team while at Lazio, Inter or Fiorentina? He seems so committed to his 4-2-3-1 he only changed the formation when his job was on the line last January, and now he’s ready to disrupt all his plans? He said “we want intelligent players and Kamada is intelligent”. Is the front staff really listening to Pioli for the mercato or are they just looking for players with upside value?

Pulisic was rumoured to be one of Maldini targets for RW last season but he didn’t have enough budget.

In as much as we want Kamada, can we ever be satisfied?! I love Kamada and I was hoping we get him especially when he is for free! What a steal it would’ve been! There are issues as regards his Passport or something, if we were to wait till he sorts that out we might end up not getting or losing the alternatives too if…… Chukwueze will cause lots of problems for defenders. Maybe not as much as Leaò. He’s got goals and lots of assists in him. Opposing coaches will have headache dealing with our frontline. Can’t wait….❤️🖤

Kamada for free plus Chuk. And then u can basically have your pick of a myriad of CMs or CDMs out there. Its harder to find a RW than a mid. And then once more we’re going to start the season without a viable CAM in our formation (I don’t believe any of these news that we’re changing formation, it doesn’t make sense) .
So the free players they wanted all went to other clubs and the one that was most likely waiting for us you don’t want lolololol. I’m guessing Roma or Inter will snap him up
instead of chukwueze I will probably accept zaniolo in favour of KAMADA, but pioli will be sacked for change in formation, leao is better with 4 5 1 formation but let see how it goes.
