Journalist: How Ibrahimovic’s presence could help Milan secure Leipzig striker

By Isak Möller -

One of AC Milan’s priorities for the summer is to sign a striker and Benjamin Sesko has ended up on their radar. Zlatan Ibrahimovic’s arrival at the club could make all the difference in the summer, a journalist claims.

Olivier Giroud isn’t exactly getting any younger, turning 38 in September, and he also appears to be tempted by a move to the MLS. Therefore, Milan will need to sign a striker this summer and as per various reports, Leipzig striker Sesko is one of their key targets.

Interviewed by MilanNews, the Slovenian journalist Nik Brumen – who works for Planetnogomet.si – states that Ibrahimovic could play a key role in Milan’s attempt to sign Sesko. Why? Because the latter is a huge fan of the Swede.

“AC Milan is very popular in Slovenia, so much so that many Slovenians support them, so it would be nice if Sesko joined. One of the club’s main assets could be Zlatan Ibrahimovic. Sesko recently admitted that the Swede is one of the players he looks up to the most.

“Personally, I would say that Sesko prefers a move to Spain. Having said that, I’m convinced that Benjamin Sesko would be ideal for Milan’s attack,” he stated.

It remains to be seen what will happen in the summer, but the certainty is that Milan will sign a striker. At 20 years old, Sesko could be the perfect replacement for Giroud as he also shares similar characteristics.
