Watch: Adli shows frustration during derby by kicking a water cooler to pieces

By Oliver Fisher -

Yacine Adli made his frustrations clear about what was unfolding at San Siro last night as he kicked over a water cooler after being subbed off.

An already miserable season for Milan got even worse last night as they lost 2-1 to Inter, handing them the league title in the process.

As they so often do in derby games, Milan found themselves behind in the game early on through Francesco Acerbi’s header. Marcus Thuram made it 2-0, and though Fikayo Tomori’s late goal restored some hope it would prove to be just a consolation as Inter won 2-1.

Adli starting the game in the midfield and was brought off in the second half. Sensing the magnitude of the defeat, he let out all of his anger on a water cooler.

  1. 11 players on the pitch with THAT attitude from the start and we wouldn’t have lost. Too bad most of the players didn’t care how this match ended.

      1. he has heart and passion for days. But it doesn’t translate to consistency on the field.

What I find most intriguing is the difference in reaction between RLC and Adli in that clip.

RLC looks like he couldn’t give a damn one way or the other. Maybe he doesn’t get the meaning of the derby being an Englishman. But it indicates that across the team the weight of the derby isn’t the same for everyone. That’s a prolblem.

  2. It’s like the guy knows he can do more and wants to do more but is being restrained by the tactics and the position he’s being asked to play. Maybe another coach Xavi can come in and change his position and then we’d really know what this lad is about but right now it just feels like even prime Messi will come in this team and struggle a bit.

      1. 😂 😂 😂 I mean the tactics is just too complicated that you’d need two years to get acclimatised to the point that even Pioli himself doesn’t fully understand it after 4 years in charge.

      2. hahahaha that’s it! you win!. by far the best, most funny and incredibly accurate statement i’ve read today. you sir, have made my morning

  3. A coach with a normal working brain would let : Adli, Okafor play from the start in this kind of games. Im sick of seeing : Gabbia, sloth Leao, Musah play!
