AC Milan have been left with a minuscule chance of qualifying for the Champions League round of 16 following their home defeat against Borussia Dortmund this evening.
The Rossoneri fell to a 3-1 defeat despite having some positive moments in the first half against their German opposition. They won a penalty early on which Olivier Giroud missed, and then Dortmund scored a penalty of their own just a few minutes later.
Samuel Chukwueze pulled Milan level but in the second half, Dortmund scored twice with Milan defending poorly and lacking any invention going forwards.
Milan are only still in the competition because Paris Saint-Germain did not beat Newcastle. That game ended 1-1.
In order for Milan to get into the round of 16, they simply have to beat Newcastle in the last game at St. James’ Park. As well as that, they need Borussia Dortmund to beat PSG.
That would mean Milan have eight points, whilst PSG are left on five.

Yeah Champions league is gone, Milan need to think of whether or not they want to play in Europa League this season. If not, then just play the Primavera kids for the last match.
Milan have nothing to play for this season apart from top 4. This season is already a scratch.
No need for the primavera lads, just play Rade Krunic.

Our chance to advance exists but is minimal. We may be able to beat Newcastle but the problem is that Dortmund has clinched already so they will be unmotivated to play against PSG and may rest players.
Milan needs the following to get through to the next round of the UCL:

– the locks of a red giraffe
– legs of frogs that were facing the sun in opposite directions during winter solstice
– alligator balls
– 5 bay leaves
– ether
– scorpion’s eyeball
– bark of a weeping willow that still has leaves in winter
